For over 6 years I’ve been selling secondhand and vintage fashion online in the US. When I moved to Israel 4 years ago for college, I was disappointed by the lack of thrift stores and secondhand culture I found there, as well as the popularity of overpriced and poor quality fast-fashion. I saw an opportunity to combine my longstanding passion for secondhand with my desire to connect with and empower women in my community. And so, I launched Dressed by Danielle and opened up a studio in Herzliya, Israel where I now offer a unique, personalized, and sustainable one-stop-shop for all your fashion needs. If I haven't already, I look forward to meeting you- either online or in person- and helping you rediscover how fun fashion can be!
One thing I can say for sure: We are not short on clothing in this world.
In fact, there is way too much of it, often being thrown out after only a few wears and then rotting away in landfills.
to collect clothing that is in danger of being forgotten and give it new life. Whether it's clothing that has been weeded out during one of my closet organization sessions, clothing that my customers traded in for store credit or pieces I have hand-picked during one of my trips to thrift stores - I want to find a new home for all of it.
If an item is in perfect condition or only requires minor repairs, it goes into my resale collection, soon to be cherished by a new owner.
In the United States, I currently have around 1,500 items in my resale collection which are sold exclusively online, mainly through an ecommerce platform called Poshmark. With the launch of my website, I have also begun selling a select collection of designer and vintage items in my online shop, which can be shipped anywhere in the world!
In Israel, my resale collection fluctuates between 600 and 1,000 items that are sold in person during Private Shopping Sessions. The items in this collection have either been hand-picked during one of my trips to thrift stores or traded in for store credit by one of my customers.
With my Upcycled Line, I revive drab and dated clothing by altering them into fashionable, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Many of the upcycled items I sell began as unattractive vintage pieces that were deserving of a more modern and flattering fit; some were simply flawed or ugly beyond repair (let’s face it, we all know some of those).
With help from my talented support team, I turn dresses into rompers, shirts into skirts, scarves into scrunchies, and old denim jeans into unique patchwork pieces!
At Dressed by Danielle, we simply don’t know waste, just pieces that are still looking for their next life.
